Key Responsibilities:
- Die and Mold Design: Verify Die and mould design according to machinability and tooling prospective. Prepare programming files for VMC operation (Proficient in programming of 3D designs using CAM Software).
- Overall Management: Responsible for managing the entire tool room, including development, performance, and maintenance. Monitor, troubleshoot, Maintain VMC machine for continuous operation.
- CAD/CAM Software: They utilize computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software to develop precise models.(Autodesk Powermill preferred for CAM Operation).
- Process Optimization: CAM Engineers optimize tool paths, machining strategies, and cutting parameters to enhance efficiency.
- Collaboration: Working closely with toolmakers, machinists, and production teams to ensure seamless implementation. Handle work in and out of tool room.
- Quality Assurance: Ensuring that the final products meet quality standards and specifications.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor in Engineering – Mechanical.
- Minimum Experience of 1 year in Die and Mold Machining.
Skills:
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Primarily CAM software (such as Autodesk Powermill preferred).Proficient in supervising VMC Machine Operations, Basic Knowledge of CAD software(Solidworks Preferred).
- Materials Knowledge: Understanding of materials used in die and mold making (e.g., steel, aluminum, plastics).
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot issues related to tooling and machining.
- Communication: Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
