Summary:
We seek a skilled or fresher and detail-oriented Lab Technician to join our polymer research team. The successful candidate will work closely with scientists and engineers to conduct experiments, analyze data, and contribute to developing innovative polymer materials and processes. This position is ideal for a hands-on individual with a passion for materials science and a strong background in polymer chemistry or engineering.
Key Roles and Responsibility
1. Laboratory Operations:
- Prepare and conduct laboratory experiments related to acrylic epoxy polymer synthesis, processing, and characterization.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including but not limited to viscositymeter, rheometers, spectrometers, and UTM tensile testers.
- Ensure all laboratory activities comply with
safety regulations and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
2. Sample Preparation and Analysis:
- Prepare polymer samples for testing, including mixing, molding, extrusion, and curing.
- Perform various analytical techniques to characterize polymer properties such as mechanical strength, thermal stability, and chemical resistance.
- Record, analyze, and interpret experimental data, and prepare reports on findings.
3. Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all experiments, procedures, and results.
- Assist in the preparation of technical reports, presentations, and publications.
- Collaborate with the R&D team to discuss results and recommend experiment modifications.
4. Quality Control:
- Conduct routine quality control tests on raw materials and finished products to ensure they meet specified standards.
- Identify and troubleshoot any issues that arise during experiments or production runs.
5. Continuous Improvement:
- Participate in the development and optimization of new polymer formulations and processing techniques.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in polymer science and technology and suggest improvements to current processes.
Skills and Qualifications
Education:
- Associate’s Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Polymer Science, Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
- Previous laboratory experience in polymer research, materials science, or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment and analytical techniques used in polymer testing.
- Freshers also apply.
Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Proficiency in using laboratory software for data analysis and reporting.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations in a laboratory setting.
