Key Responsibilities:
We’re looking for a Prosthetist and Orthotist – with strong domain expertise, including a thorough knowledge of human anatomy, clinical guidelines for immobilization products and clinical experience regarding the human interaction of such products.
The P&O will work closely with the R&D team, informing them on medical, clinical and anthropometric aspects – as they design new ranges of products – while also being involved in clinical application of products, in trial and clinical settings – amassing more knowledge and lived experience surrounding OrthoHeal products. Detailed responsibilities are described below:
Primary:
- Support R&D team with clinical knowledge and experience required for designing human centered immobilization products.
- Take care of all documentation (related to design, development and regulatory) pertaining to upstream (not downstream) product development.
- Help create and revise collaterals like IFUs, Brochures and more for new products.
Secondary:
- Conduct clinically focused market research on immobilization products.
- Participate in clinical product application, document the corresponding knowledge and experience, and leverage it to inform product refinement and new product development.
- Train users and trainers in application of our products.
- Help manage online learning portal for our products.
- Participate in clinical trial related activities like: Literature review, study design, on-site activities, like product application, data capture, data analysis and paper writing.
- Engage with external stakeholders like clinicians and patients etc for collaboration needs and to gather data and feedback on products.
- Participate in clinically oriented initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Academic : Requried: BPO, Preferred: MPO.
- Experience: 2-3 years experience, preferably in a clinical setting, will be an advantage.
- Professional: Ability to recall, supplement, summarize and present clinical knowledge and experience to brief and orient non-clinician colleagues, in a well referenced fashion. Strong knowledge of therapeutic and adverse effects (with mitigation strategies) of Orthopaedic casts and other orthosis with a special focus on traumatology. Ability to find, understand, present and leverage data from various sources – primary and secondary. Strong documentation skills.
