FlexiOH® is the first of its kind- an orthopedic immobilizer that has the rigidity to hold the fractured part as well as ensuring proper skin ventilation. FlexiOH® comes as an easy to fix wearable material on the injured part. After wearing, light treatment completes the curing process and makes the FlexiOH® rigid. This process is quick and hardly takes 3-10 minutes, depending on the size of FlexiOH® immobilizer. After a course of therapy, FlexiOH® can be removed without the use of any other external cast cutter or spreader.
FlexiOH® is a bone immobilization device and its facilitates the bone healing process. However, the duration of bone immobilization therapy would be same as of conventional cast i.e fiberglass or PoP cast. Duration for bone healing may vary from person to person and based on different factors i.e severity of fracture, age of patient, etc.
All the variants of FlexiOH® are available in multiple sizes. As FlexiOH® is elastic, it adapts shape and size of hand/leg by stretching. Before application of FlexiOH®, healthcare professional will choose appropriate size and ensure its fitting.
In case of mild to moderate swelling, Swelling can be adjusted by Foam layer. In case of edema after application of FlexiOH® , it is advised to immediately contact doctor and take remedial measures. In case of acute swelling, we advise to apply temporary splint followed by FlexiOH® when swelling reduced.
The material holding the FlexiOH® immobilizer is stretchable and is made up of silicon rubber . during quality check at time of manufacturing, we make sure that all FlexiOH® are leak free. Although if any inside material is leaking from FlexiOH®, we strongly advise not to use immobilizer.
Rizycure® is the handheld light system which is high intensity portable blue light, developed by OrthoHeal. Rizycure® is visible blue light device, specially designed to cure FlexiOH® – an innovative orthopedic immobilizer. It is very easy to use and has been made for the doctors’ convenience.
One full charged, Rizycure® Light System can cure 2-3 FlexiOH® immobilizer in a row without recharging. Once it indicates half battery, you need to charge it again for ~60 minutes for uniform intensity.
You should cut the immobilizer for wound care purposes only. If the size is too big, you can adjust the cast like socks and then cure it. If it’s still too long, you can cut after it’s cured but it will leave sharp edges at the end which may create comfort to a patient.
