Intended uses

  • Lower-leg fractures around the ankle
  • Fractures of the foot bones
  • Severe ankle sprains and strains
  • Post-operative immobilisation as directed by the surgeon

Caution

  • Not to be used where FlexiOH® would contact breached skin
  • Align the bone before curing — the shape cannot be adjusted afterwards
  • Single patient, single use; a cured immobilizer cannot be reused

Choose the variant and size. The pre-cured immobilizer is soft and mouldable.

Wrap, zip and set the limb. Align the bone now — nothing changes after curing.

Three to ten minutes under the RizyCure light. The polymer hardens into a rigid, ventilated shell.

Instructions for patients — recommended

  • Daily activities that need minimal mobility; shallow pools and bathtubs
  • Clean the skin in the open spaces regularly with a small brush or cotton bud
  • A hair-dryer on the cool setting dries trapped moisture
  • Elevate the limb to reduce swelling

Not recommended

  • Do not touch the outer surface during curing — it can burn
  • No heavy lifting or strenuous activity; no unnecessary pressure on the immobilizer
  • Do not apply or remove without your orthopaedic practitioner
  • Do not peel the foam layer; keep away from fire
