Instructions for patients — recommended

  • Daily activities that need minimal mobility; shallow pools and bathtubs
  • Clean the skin in the open spaces regularly with a small brush or cotton bud
  • A hair-dryer on the cool setting dries trapped moisture
  • Elevate the limb to reduce swelling

Not recommended

  • Do not touch the outer surface during curing — it can burn
  • No heavy lifting or strenuous activity; no unnecessary pressure on the immobilizer
  • Do not apply or remove without your orthopaedic practitioner
  • Do not peel the foam layer; keep away from fire
